  • Full articulations, bones cleaning, and feather preservation. I also hold federal permits to work with migratory birds that are legally owned by the customer. For example, I can articulate protected birds for educational centers, Native Americans, falconers etc

  • Whether you are planning on having me articulate or a taxidermist work on them, it is important that the bird is frozen. Wrap them in napkins and a plastic bag and set them in a freezer. It is imperative that they do not begin decomposing.

  • If you would like me to articulate your pet reach out to me and I will give you an address to ship to. Make sure to insulate, pad, and include a cold source in the package. Styrofoam and dry ice works great, but I’ve also had packages arrive in good shape with just cotton and cold packs. Overnight shipping is the safest way to get them to me, especially in the summer months. It is very important that they do not thaw in transit.

  • I first remove the wings and taiI and dry/mummify them seperate from the rest of the body. I have a colony of dermestid beetles that consume all of the soft tissue from the body, leaving me with only bones. The bones are then degreased for several months, before whitened with peroxide.

  • Wait time for articulations can be hard to guarantee. I generally start on a piece within a week of it arriving. The degreasing process can be wildly variable. Some individuals are degreased in a matter of weeks, some may take 8 months or longer. Generally you should expect the process, from me obtaining the bird, to returning it to you to take anywhere from 8-12 months.
